2026 BOLTON FRIENDS TRAIL WORK SCHEDULE

Greetings Bolton Friends,

We hope you’ve had a great summer. It will be fun to see you soon at trail clearing. For those who have not tried it in the past, it’s a great way to meet people and learn the trails. Bring lunch, water, appropriate clothing, loppers and hand saws if you have them.

 

ALL DAYS: MEET, READY TO LEAVE, AT 9AM FROM SPORTS CENTER, except for October 3 when we will meet ready to leave at 9AM from Timberline parking lot.

 

BY FRIDAY WE WILL POST IF TRAIL WORK WILL BE SATURDAY AS PLANNED OR SUNDAY DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER. Go to:

Saturday, September 26 (rain date Sunday)

Catamount Trail workers will be clearing Bolton to Trapp Trail. If interested, contact Hans Buehler at hansbuehler@gmail.com for more information, including the meeting location.

 

Saturday, October 3 WK_1 (rain date Sunday)
MEET AT TIMBERLINE PARKING LOT.
Doggie, Jake, Moose-ski, Beaver, Deer Run, Maple Loop, Grand View, etc.

 

Sunday, October 4 (rain date Sunday, October 11)

Woodard Mountain Trail. The coordinator for this day is Laureen Gauthier. A shuttle needs to be arranged, so contact Laureen at lg4snow@aol.com by Friday, October 2. Group size will be limited so volunteer early. Certified chainsaw operators needed!

 

Saturday, October 10 WK_2 (rain date Sunday)
Goat Path, Kid, Fox Hollow, Telemark, Eagles Nest, North Ridge, Maple Loop (upper)

 

Monday, October 12 (rain date TBD)

Cotton Brook Connector. We will be clearing the two-mile connector between the bottom of Cotton Brook / Paradise Pass and the Cotton Brook snowmobile trail. This provides an easy way to get injured skiers out. It is also part of a loop with the JK trail. If we have enough people we will clear that also. We will meet at the gate on the Moscow side of the Cotton Brook Snowmobile trail: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6qg5z8b4Erry5tBy5. We will then car pool to the trail. Contact Laureen at lg4snow@aol.com so that we can gauge group size. Certified chainsaw operators needed!
